PROGRAM NOTE
Dragons are the embodiment of danger, regality, greed, power, fierce, fire, victory, evil and a thousand things more. Not to mention. The winged beast is a relentless force living in the mountains. Legend tells of brave souls who have dared to ride them, but those stories are scarcely more than collections of legend and myth. The dragons haven’t been seen in centuries. None who travel north have returned in centuries. EDUCATOR’S NOTE This is a piece a wrote with the following educational goals. It should also be noted that the initial conception of this piece needed to work for Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet & Trombone (my instrumentation).
