PROGRAM NOTE
Due at 11:59 is a reference to all my online classes. As anyone who has taken an online class knows, assignments are usually unlocked one week at a time. Then, you have a full week to complete them. Or more accurately, you have six and a half days to procrastinate before a few hours of furious scrambling to get it all done before the deadline. In middle and high school, I was a procrastinator through and through. Even early college had me waiting until the last second, and I remember the clock ticking down in those online classes like a timebomb threatening to explode into a failing grade all over my transcripts as I scrambled to get things turned in on time. Due at 11:59 is a short piece that encapsulates the dread of an impending deadline. |
