PROGRAM GOALS 

Year 1
  • Smooth Directorial Transition
  • Ensure positive and quality music education and performances
  • Maximize in all grades, especially the middle school
  • Ensure positive experience for the graduating seniors
  • Add two end of year Recruitment Events to the calendar (One for Middle School. One for elementary)

Year 2-3
  • Increase HS Band Size by 15-20%
  • 75-90% Beginning Band Retention
  • Introduce Bi-Annual Middle School Trip
  • Add Jazz Band
  • Student Composed Music on all concerts
  • Increase MSBOA Solo & Ensemble Participation by 15-25%

YEAR 4-5
  • Increase HS Band Size by 50%
  • 75+ Beginning Band Classes
  • Expand Program offerings and hire second director
  • Add/Expand Brass, Woodwind and Percussion Ensembles at HS and MS levels
  • Increase MSBOA Solo & Ensemble Participation by 25-45%
