Daily Class Setup
Teachers are in school classroom on Zoom with Microphone on. Demo Instruments accessible.
Students are at home seated in a chair or standing with their instruments assembled before class begins.
A music stand with their music is also already set up with their music on it.
On zoom, cameras are on and set in a place where the student's face and hands can be seen.

Daily Synchronous Class Routine for 30 Minute Class
1 MIN: Stretch
6-8 MIN: Warm Up (Band Warm Up Sheet for 6th Grade Beginning Band, Young Ensemble Warm Up for 7th and 8th Grade band)
10-12 MIN: Play tunes and exercises from Essential Elements Books. (Book 1 for 6th and 7th Grade, Book 2 for 8th Grade)
10-12 MIN: Rehearse Performance Music (St. Nick Salsa for 6th Grade Beginning Band, Frosty the Snowman for 7th and 8th Grade band)
1 MIN: Stretch

Weekly Asynchronous Class Routine
Students are required to upload a video to google classroom using any video capable device by Friday of each week. This is typically a short playing assignment. Students are usually instructed to play along with a teacher created background track in order to maintain a consistent tempo.

Additional Class Routine Notes
When performance music (St. Nick Salsa or Frosty the Snowman) are ready for recording, students are instructed to record themselves during class using the google chrome extension: Screencastify. They follow the below instructions:
1. Students have headphones plugged into their device.
2. Students should have one headphone on their ear to hear the music and one headphone off of their ear to hear themselves.
3. Students begin their screencastify recording on that same device.
4. Teacher begins the playthrough of performance music.
5. Students play along with the teachers as they hear them play through the headphones.
6. Students stop the recording and turn it in after class for teachers to compile into a virtual performance video.
